You upload a PDF tender set, an AI drafts the takeoff — every device, fixture, wire run and panel as an editable quantity — and a live pricing cockpit turns those counts into a bid using your labour rates, NECA-style labour factors, markups, contingency and tax. Why it exists

It was built from the Lower Mainland out — one of the most expensive, code-strict construction markets in North America — after watching what estimating actually looks like in small shops: a spreadsheet, a highlighter, and a weekend that disappears every time a tender closes. The incumbent suites solve this for enterprise estimating departments at enterprise prices. Nothing was priced or shaped for the electrician who is also the estimator, the bookkeeper and the foreman.

So VOLTA made the opposite trade-offs: browser instead of install, defaults instead of database curation, sliders instead of training courses, and a published price — $9.99 CAD — instead of a sales process. The AI drafts and the contractor decides; figures are planning estimates you verify before bidding, and the software says so on every screen.

Made in BC, honest by default

Defaults follow BC rules and Canadian reference data — GST and PST-on-materials handling, rates cross-checked against public wage sources like the Government of Canada's Job Bank — and are labeled as VOLTA's own market estimates, reviewed and dated on the homepage. Comparison pages on this site disclose that VOLTA wrote them and name where competitors are genuinely stronger. No fabricated reviews, no invented customers — when we publish a case study it will be a real shop, with consent.
